My China Now – Short Films at the LATE

A Taste of China is the theme for the next DPG LATE Night opening on 19th June. The Gallery will be presenting a collection of 34 short films commissioned by CHINA NOW and never seen by UK audiences.

These tell the story of China through a programme of short films by documentary makers, animators, artists and film makers, all of whom are defining contemporary culture in modern China. The programme features films by Cao Fei, Wang Bo and Liu Hao and others.

CHINA NOW is the largest festival of Chinese culture ever in the UK and has been coordinating some 800 events, performances and activities, shining a spotlight on the very best of modern China in the run up to the Bejing Olympics.
