Art Inside JAGS

Florence Venables, pupil at James Allen’s Girls’ School, is also looking forward to the Art Fair

Painting by Luttick for auction

John Luttick 'There were Cobwebs on the Ceiling'

When I went to primary school we usually did arts and crafts so when I came to JAGS I was really amazed that art had such a huge diversity.

We learnt how to draw properly, having little projects, and did an art exam every year in key stage 3. I then surprisingly decided to do art for my GCSEs and am actually really enjoying it. I have discovered many different media. For my coursework I’ve done lino prints, collages, card constructions and paintings. I may carry on for A level, I’m unsure at the moment, there’s a very high standard and I doubt if I can reach it yet.

I really enjoy art and hope that others will enjoy the art that will be displayed in our school this weekend.  I cant wait!
Here is one of the paintings for the online auction.
