A Conceptual Bridge From Dulwich to Warsaw

‘The Polish Connection’… that exhibition at Dulwich Picture Gallery that has been featuring so heavily in Dulwich OnView.

Dulwich connecting to Warsaw

‘Connection’ – why?

Past and Present – obvious if you go to the exhibition, as there are stunning portraits of the Polish king who commissioned most of the DPG permanent collection at the end of the 18th century, combined with the conceptual work of a contemporary Polish artist, Antoni Malinowski.  The portraits have come from Warsaw castle.

Dulwich and Warsaw – Work in progress
Malinowski is creating art works in Warsaw Castle which relate to those at DPG.  He is making a connection, a conceptual bridge, between the two.  DPG and possibly Warsaw castle have never seen the like before.

The Dulwich part of the exhibition finishes on 27 September.  The Warsaw opening in on 11 August.
