Good news in Peckham

Oscar is alive and well!

How often do you see home-made signs attached to trees, requesting information about pets which have gone missing?

oscarI sometimes wonder whether they actually work and if people really take them in, or if we simply wander past, paying little attention. I thought I’d spotted another as I wandered through Peckham this week, but it was quite the reverse. It gives all cat owners who’ve lost their loved ones hope that they might turn up.

I don’t know Oscar’s back story, or how he was found, but it gives you a renewed faith in the goodwill of your neighbours, doesn’t it?

If you know Oscar or his owner, do get in touch and let us know how you found him. Or did Oscar find you?

From one who has lost 2 cats and had phone calls from people who have found them (number on collar), I know about the huge joy, relief and gratitude you feel.
Mind you, one of mine was found in Mrs Thatcher’s house off the south circular and the other in a social club near Dulwich Park. Perhaps they found life too dull at home!
