Winners of Dulwich Picture Gallery’s Foodie Faces Competition

Dulwich Picture Gallery’s invitation to take part in its latest competition has finally come to the end. This ultimate challenge to re-create a self portrait using fruits, vegetables and sweets was based on Philip Haas’ four monumental fibreglass sculptures currently on display in the Gallery Gardens until 16 September.

The winners of each category (see below) will have their image displayed at the Andy Warhol and Philip Haas Late Night Opening,  will receive a free place on one of the Gallery’s award winning art courses, an invitation to the next exhibition Private View and a signed Philip Haas exhibition poster. The winners are:

ABOUT THE ANDY WARHOL AND PHILIP HAAS LATE NIGHT OPENING

Thursday 13 September 5 – 9pm

Come and enjoy the exhibition, a glass of wine and a dance performance during a Late Night Viewing.

Late Night Performance, 7.30pm:

Inspired by the Rambert piece, Rainforest (which originally incorporated Andy Warhol’s Silver Mylar Pillows), as well as paintings from the Andy Warhol exhibition The Movement Factory Dancers (members of the dance troupe Bruk Out) have worked with Rambert animateurs and will perform a stunning dance spectacle for visitors.

The work has been produced as part of Dulwich Picture Gallery’s successful Youth Engagement Programme.
