Dulwich Picture Gallery is looking for volunteer drivers to support the artmobile programme. Set to launch in Spring 2013, the artmobile will extend the ground breaking reach out work to any location in London.
Dulwich Picture Gallery’s Education Department promotes the understanding and enjoyment of fine art for everyone. Its award-winning work reaches out beyond the confines of the Gallery, taking art into communities across London, serving young people, older people, schools and families.
A fleet style insurance policy will mean a number of people will be able to drive the artmobile. Volunteer drivers will support the programme on a flexible and ad hoc basis when other registered drivers are unavailable.
Drivers will drive the artmobile, materials and possibly a passenger to community partner’s site, park the vehicle and return when the workshop is complete. Workshops happen every day of the week and there is the potential to get involved in the creative activities too.
- The vehicle will be a 2 seater DFSK Loadhopper, with a 1310 CC rating
- Drivers must have a current driving licence
- Drivers must be between the age of 25 and 70
- Drivers might be asked to complete a CRB disclosure
