Open Gardens in and around Dulwich

There are six local gardens opening for charity in the Dulwich and surrounding areas this summer.

All the gardens are interesting, all are different, all are inspirational, and all are backed by astonishing depths of gardening knowledge, expertise and some very hard work. Most gardens look their best in June, and its a great time of year anyway. The Open Gardens is so valuable to Link Age Southwark‏ in many ways, including meeting people who may become volunteers or supporters in the future, as well as raising much needed funds.

Sunday 22 May, 2-5pm – teas and cake – £3.50 entry (u16s free),
9 Rollscourt Road, London SE24 0EA, Emily and Robert Montague hosting.
Limited patio areas for wheelchairs. No dogs.
The garden was redesigned in 2015, a shows a contrast of formal and wildlife areas, with purple, white and yellow flowers.

Friday 10th June, 5.30-8pm, wine & music – £5 entry – including first drink (U16s free)
Stoney Hill House, Rock Hill, SE26 6SW, Cinzia & Adam Greaves hosting.
Wheelchair access possible if shallow steps can be negotiated.
Garden and woodland covering approx. 1 acre. On a slope with a number of viewpoints. Sculpture offsets the beautiful display of mature rhododendrons and trees.

Sunday 12th June, teas and cake – £3.50 entry (u16s free)
115 Dulwich Village, SE21 7BJ, Mrs Bridget Furst hosting.
Not suitable for wheelchairs. Dogs on leads only.
A picturesque town gaden with lots of features including pond, scented garden, yew hedges and mature trees.

Wheelchair access possible. Dogs on leads only.

A 1/6 acre garden in a former orchard, with lots of lovely features including large goldfish pond and fountain and 100 year old apple tree.

Sunday 26th June, SUNSET SOIREE – £25, music, drinks, canapes and raffle

Limited wheelchair access on upper level only. No dogs.
Enjoy Link Age Southwark’s gala fundraising event in a beautiful garden with vast array of colourful and varied plants, shrubs and trees.

Step-free access from street to garden. Dogs on leads welcome.
A garden from a reclaimed plot which includes vegetable beds, two wildlife ponds, mature fruit trees and decorative beds and borders.
