Inspired by Dulwich Picture Gallery’s exhibition of Indian miniature paintings, create your own brightly coloured miniature artwork.

Lalita Ragaputra of Bhairava Raga, Pahari, Chamba, c. 1690 –1700, Gouache on paper
A ragamala or ‘garland of ragas’ is a set of miniature paintings depicting various musical modes, ragas, of Indian music. Each painting is accompanied by a brief caption or poem that describes the mood of the raga, most frequently devotion and love – in its various aspects.
The exhibition unveils a rare collection of 24 exquisite minatures from the Claudio Moscatelli Collection, in a journey across the Indian subcontinent.
My Family In Minature invites you to photograph, paint or draw your own miniature artwork depicting your family and loved ones – anyone and everyone from your great aunt to your favourite pet!
The winning entry from each category (5 –10, 10 –16 and 16+) will be chosen by Ian Dejardin, the Gallery’s Director and displayed during a Late Night viewing.
