Is art the new form of protest? Or is protesting an art?

Neil Ellis was selected out of 33,000 applicants to be one of the 2400 people to stand on the 4th Plinth in Trafalgar square part of Antony Gormley’s ‘One and Other’ project.
He chose to present a visually stunning performance to raise awareness of the alarming number of cyclists dying in London since January 2008.

Riffy Ahmed made two short films about his performance and the cause.

John Wyver is chairman of Illuminations Productions which has made a film ‘Anthony Gormley and the 4th Plinth’

All will appear at GalleryFilm’s next screening on Monday 10 May where the films will be shown. There will be a discussion and free wine too.

We went along to the Dulwich Park Fair on the other Sunday and although it was a blustery day, there were a lot of people braving the elements enjoying the fun of the fair.
