This Christmas holiday, Dulwich based, Harmony High glee club is excited announce The Glee Project, a fantastic one day master class in singing, dancing, and all things glee!
It has been a great year for Harmony High! The group attracts talented teenagers from across South London, who bring bags of talent each week to raise their voices in harmony to the most contemporary and current pop songs, taking their lead from the hit TV series Glee!
In recent months the group has had the honour of performing at the O2 Arena for the Cancer Research event SHINE, and earlier this year, were 1 of 9 finalists in the live TV show Comic Relief Does Glee Club for the BBC, beating off thousands of other hopefuls from around the country!
15 members of the group were also recently signed to a West End Talent Agency and are now hoping to take their first steps to a career in the performing arts!
Our junior group The Highlights attracts children aged 7 – 11 years and they recently performed at the Word Up! Festival in Dulwich, to great acclaim!
On Tuesday 20th December from 10.00am – 5.00pm, The Glee Project will be an action packed, one day crash course, where budding singer/dancers will be taught by professionals from the West End! Students can expect a fun, yet challenging day learning in all three disciplines of Singing, Dancing and Acting. At the end of the day they will get to show off what they have learnt! As well as group singing we will be encouraging budding soloists too!
As we are always looking to encourage and develop new talent at our groups, one talented and hard working boy and one girl, chosen from the workshop, will receive a scholarship to attend Harmony High or The Highlights for 1 whole term, a prize worth £150!
The winning student will be announced at the end of the day!
The course takes place at our Dulwich home St Faiths Centre, Red Post Hill, and places can be booked by contacting the Principal either by e-mail, [email protected] or by telephone on 0203 566 9710. Check out the website at www.gleekschool.com.
The 7 hour, 1 day workshop costs £25 per child and students will be split into age appropriate groups!
