Cadence is back for its 2nd Show at Canvas & Cream. After a successful first event we’re delighted to be invited back to do it all again.
The aim of the evening is to encourage local talent to get up and put some words out there, whether in poetic, story or singing form or any mix of the three!
Added to this we put in some better known headliners, the lineup for the next show is; LIZ DEAN and GILLIE ROBIC who are two local poets that were so well received last time that we had to have them back! Then there’s ERENI MENDRINOS a Canvas and Cream customer and cabaret performer who’s bound to wow us.
There’ll be singers in the shape of MARY O’CONNOR actress and variety performer and PAUL RUSHWORTH, the singing Carpenter! On top of all that there’s well known local artist DAVID MACH doing some poetry.
We’re also very pleased to have music composer and author DAVID BAIRD to uke us up a treat plus bestselling author, actress, director and improv star STELLA DUFFY reading from her later novel ‘The Purple Shroud‘… and holding all this together will be the poetry glue of Bill Moody.
Our ethos is to entertain and give performers of all abilities the chance to be on the same stage and learn from each other. Canvas and Cream‘s ethos is to help bring people together and be adventurous, be it in art, dining, crafts or events like this one.
It takes place on Wednesday 12th September at 7:30pm, the cost is £4/£3. Canvas and Cream, 18 London road, ForestHill, SE23 3HF. Easy parking in Sainsbury’s and Forest Hill station minutes away. More info.
Tickets can be reserved or on the night… be nice to see you there and if anyone is interested we’re looking for someone to independently review this event for Dulwich OnView. Please contact Bill on [email protected].
