Don’t panic - there will be nothing here to disrupt your day or week. The water works in question are those on paper showing at the Jeannie Avent Gallery between 11th and 23rd July.
The show is titled Aqua-Reale and features 3 artists who became friends some years ago whilst studying at Morley College near Waterloo.
Each of them has a distinctive style and interest showcasing a variety of recent work painted around South London and other locations. In a contemporary style, all draw on the famous tradition of water colour as a medium to be taken travelling and subject matter ranges from Shoreham to Colorado taking in Rajasthan. There are also scenes of neighbourhood life, contemporary cityscapes & still lives.
Pop in and say hello to the artists, two of whom are local, guess some of the locations (no cheating by looking at the list) and take part in a prize draw to win a painting.
‘Aqua-Reale’ is on at the Jeannie Avent Gallery, 14 North Cross Road, East Dulwich, London SE22 9EU, July 11th - 23rd 2013. Open 11-5 (closed Mondays and Wednesdays).
