Street art in the Dulwich area is unique. The world’s top street artists have painted walls here, but they have elsewhere too. So what makes the Dulwich murals different?
The artists have all based their compositions on paintings from Dulwich Picture Gallery’s permanent collection – and a unified theme such as this has never occured before, anywhere, ever.
The artists went to Dulwich Picture Gallery, a first for almost all of them, and chose a 17-18th century work of art on which to base their work of art.
On selected Sundays there will be guided walks taking in most of the Dulwich Outdoor Gallery walls and pavements and ending at Dulwich Picture Gallery where you can find out more about the inspiration for the street art.
Led by Ingrid Beazley, the co- curator of Dulwich Outdoor Gallery and teacher at Dulwich Picture Gallery.

Hi I’d like the details of the street artist who made the mushrooms in the village please. I’d like to commission him/her.
Many thanks
Francine
Hi Francine, the mushrooms are by Christiaan Nagel, http://christiaannagel.co.uk/news/ Get back to us if you have difficulty contacting him.
They are great, aren’t they?
